Funding

The Federal Department of Education provides annual grants for the fundamental and essential functions of our services. However, the federal funding has not been able to keep pace with the growing population in need of our services and escalating program costs.

Each year, the Prairie Freedom Center must depend more and more on private and corporate contributions to meet the cost of day-to-day operations. By the time people reach the doors of Prairie Freedom Center , they have usually exhausted all other means for assistance and funding.

Prairie Freedom Center is not a national agency and must depend on the community for assistance. Private and corporate gifts to the Center are used primarily to supplement existing programs. This is a special partnership that continues to help our friends and neighbors with disabilities who want to live independently within the community.

All donations made to the Prairie Freedom Center for Independent Living are treated as charitable contributions and are deductible according to current tax regulations.
